Knowledge

Knowledge combines a huge variety of interrelationships, such as those regarding: individuals, organisations and society; past, present and future times; local, interlocal and global spaces; technical and social skills; specialist and generalist disciplines.
Knowledge is an open collective process determined by and determining several dimensions of a system, being they spatially, temporally, socially, economically and environmentally determined. Most of what we know is tacit knowledge individually acquired and collectively transmitted by a generation to another one without codified method. Other knowledge is discovered and transmitted through several learning processes that are codified.
Knowledge, culture and civilisation are strictly correlated.
